Thank you Ms.
Carnes, former Director of Special Education for the new sound booth and other
equipment which will allow our new audiologist, Heidi Bourg to assess
the hearing of students in our parish.
Heidi graduated
from LSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders in 1994.
She
finished her Master's degree in Audiology two years later. Heidi worked as
an Educational Audiologist before going back to school to complete my
Speech-Language Pathology certification in 1999. She also has sign
language experience. She has worked in a variety of settings, including
schools, non-profit clinics, hospitals and private practice. She has
been employed by Livingston Parish since 2007
