Thank you Ms.
Carnes, former Director of Special Education, for the new sound booth and other
equipment which allows our new audiologist, Heidi Bourg, to assess
the hearing and audiological concerns of the students in Livingston Parish
Schools.
Heidi graduated
from LSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Science Disorders in 1994.
She
completed her Master's degree in Audiology in 1996. Heidi worked as
an Educational Audiologist before returning to school to complete her
Speech-Language Pathology certification in 1999. She is also
experienced with sign-language communication. She has worked in a variety of settings, including
schools, non-profit clinics, hospitals and private practice. She has
been employed by Livingston Parish since 2007.
